Instant pudding is horrible! Use cook and serve pudding done in the microwave -- 2 cups milk, box of pudding, whisk. Microwave two minutes, whisk, microwave two more minutes, whisk, and a final two minutes and whisk. Six minutes total as per box and it's great! Even the sugar free kind.

Yes, the cooked one is better. I like to cook some and serve it over a slice of pound cake or chocolate cake, while it is still hot. Try it you will love it.

I don't like pudding.
