My mother and I live together and she watches my daughter, she absolutely despises my b/f whom I love very much. I don't know how to deal with this and not lose either one of them over it.

I am also in your situation right now. I have this guy whom I love yet we can't be together for just the reason that my mom would not accept him as my boyfriend. I do respect my mom's wants and qualities my boyfriend should have cause I still believe that mothers know best even though I hate her yet look. I really love this guy. Well, if we would work out, then fine. If not, I'll be sad but what can I do if fate just didn't allow me to be with the one I love? It's life, my dear. We have to live it. I just hope that our mother accepts the one's we are loving right now. Right, girl? ;)

Have a talk with your Mom about WHY she dislikes your boyfriend! And then LISTEN to what she has to say. She wouldn't dislike anyone that didn't do something she didn't like. Is he respectful of you, does he have a good job, is he a druggy or a heavy drinker, etc.? Maybe that is the reason, you have to listen to what she has to say and then thank her for her input. Then you have to go and look carefully at what she said. Is it true? Is there a future for you guys together? (And I don't mean in loving each other, I mean in creating a decent place where your child can grow up, your own home, some of the good things in life!) Is he good with your child? Maybe she doesn't trust your judgement, after all you are a single mother, so you have shown some bad decision making in the past.

If your happy.. that's all your mom needs to care about... if she sees that you are happy and in love with this b/f then she should accept it.. give her time to adjust to him...

Break up with him and make your mom happy OR stop relying on other people (i.e. your mom) to shelter you and take care of your daughter and you can do whatever you want.
