I've been walking her dog for her for free because I feel funny taking money from her. She wants to pay me for walking her dog because she wants me to do it constantly. I also don't wanna be walking her dog for freeall the time because I have 2 dogs of my own. She said she can't afford to pay a dog walker $10 a day for $50 a week, but in reality, most dog walker charge at least $13. Plus, I know she makes good money and most of the time, she likes to throw her money away on starbucks, coldstone creamery, and expensive garbages. I don't wanna charge a friend but I also don't wanna get ripped off.

If I were you I would let her know that dog walkers charge their dogs $13 dollars per day, and that you think $10 dollars is a reasonable amount on walking her dog. I understand she is your friend and you don't want to feel ripped off, but play professional in this role, you're going to make extra cash. If you feel like $10 is too much for her to offer, about $8 would be enough. $5 would be too less.

You can tell your friend that you are wanting to earn money and that by you walking her dog will help out. You are using your time without being paid when you could be getting paid by someone else. If you want to give her a break charge her 8.00 but let her know that if someone else ask you that you would normaly charge them 10 to 13 dollars and you will take that job. A good friend will understand. I would also have her pay you at the start of the week so that you know you will get your money. I

I would sit down with her and ask what she CAN afford to pay, since she's offering to want to pay you. In the same token, don't let the fact that you two are friends stand in the way of you being able to make more money elsewhere. For instance, don't let her get down to paying you $5. Ask for 10, and when she retorts that she can't afford it, gently hint to her that the going rate is 13.

if you feel like charging her then chage her and if your really good friends you should do it for free cause you love her and if you love dogs you really wouldnt care but that could be a really good carreer for you cause over the summer and suff you could make extra money and spend time with dogs. Maybe you and your friend can go on a walk and take your dogs and explain why you want to charge her and she if she understands. And if she gets really upset about why you want to charge her maybe you shouldnt walk her dog anymore.

maybe it's the beggining for something good, take the $50 a week , some weeks later 6 -8 you can charge a little more, the most important thing is you to have fun and get paid for it.

Well charge her 9 $ a day or 8 $. Get over your conscience. You just say to yourself again and again that she is your best friend and that's why you have given her a good discount. Just think if a person was in construction, would he build a house for his best friend for free. What he will do is give him a discount.

If she is making good money she either needs to pay you good or you should stop walking her dog. Nothing is free in this day and age. I would say at least 30 dollars a week or stop.

Your friend wants to pay you as a gesture. She wants you to know she appreciates you walking her dog, and she doesn't want to you to feel used. If you don't want to walk her dog for her as a favor for a friend, then just tell her politely.
As for pay, remember, she is your friend. I wouldn't ask more than she's willing to offer. Just courteously say no if what she offers doesn't seem fair.

Ya giving what she offers sounds good. I would suggest maybe $7? it depends on how long you walk the dog for.
