When people pray why do they get mad at God when they don't get the answer they were looking for saying God didn't answer them?

God said he answers all prayers not that you are going to like all his answers. Just because you don't like his answer doesn't mean he didn't answer your prayer. God gives you the answer that is best for you.

Some pray for loved ones not to die or be healed. However, that person ends up dying. God answered your prayer, you weren't listening. He probably told you it was that persons time to go. Maybe he told you that person was going to have a miserable life if the live and you are just being selfish to want them to stay.

Just as I asked this question. I may not like the responses I get but they are still responses to my question and they still exist. So, to those that ask do God answer all prayer? Yes he does. Are you going to like all his answers? No, probably not. But, are they still answers to your prayer whether you like them or not? Yes

Because people have preformed answers formed in their minds even before they've prayed. They expect a particular answer and nothing else.

Because the same thing has always happened whether I prayed or not. I used to pray but when I stopped I still got some of the things I would have prayed for, and not gotten some of the things that I would have prayed for.
See, prayer has made no difference in my life at all.
So that tells me that there is no God answering prayer only natural events happening whether you pray or not.

God always answers all of my prayers, I just have to be conscious that my prayers are pure and not selfish. If I pray and ask God for peace and serenity, he may remove people and things from my life that are bringing turmoil. I may not have realized these things were a problem, so I may not be grateful for it, but he DID answer my prayer.

Maybe because some people expect God to be like a vending machine, all they have to to is put their prayer in the slot, and if God is real, and works, they'll get it right away. But they have to understand that God has his own plan, and if it is in his will, he will answer your prayer when he feels it is best, sometimes we dont understand why, but thats why we place our troubles in His hands, even in the worst situations, and in the end, we see it all worked out.

So not matter what happens, or even if nothing happens--God answered your prayer? How is that at all different than if you had not prayed at all, or if there was no response? Either way whatever happens happens, there is no difference except for in your own imagination!

Figment of the imagination (said a guy a few up)??? I think not! You are totally right....like that song....some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers. Thank you for posting something like this, it's way better than alot of stuff I see on here. I know exactly what you mean though!

God bless you!

What are the 3 answers to prayer... Yes, No, and Not right now.

By this logic anything that happens in reference to you prayer could be the answer. And the big one... ANYONE could answer your prayer.

Pray to Zeus right now. I guarantee you'll get one of the 3 responses listed above.

Technically God doesn't interefere with our daily lives, good or bad.. This is part of his gift of Free Will. Therefore prayer doesn't work. It does make the person praying feel better, so for that it's useful.

He will test you before answering the prayers and thinking God isn't answering it self is a part of the test

In other words God (if there is one) is currently blessing those of us sending our energies out for peace with war...He's answering our prayers with allowing human suffering and strife to continue, right? Nah, with all due respect God answers no one. PEACE!

I agree. It is because of our finite and fallen nature that we don't understand when God says no or puts off the answer. We certainly don't know what's best for us, not to mention what's best for everyone else that prays to Him.
