His real name is Biff. They are just very embarrassed about it.

God's name is Jehovah.
It's in the Bible in the form called the tetragrammation.
It's Jewish pronouncement is Yahweh.
The english pronouncement is Jehovah
It's in the Bible close to 8000 times. 247 of that in the new testament.
But starting with the Clementine Bibles, which the KJV is one of, God's name was replaced with things like LORD, God, Adonay etc. They did one thing though, they did write in most forwards that God's name has been replaced.
That's mainly why most people don't know or will acknowledge God's name

The failure of Christendom to use the divine name exposes their hardheartedness. It is MOSTLY to spite the well-known Christian religion of Jehovah's Witnesses that much of Christendom refuses to use God's personal name with any regularity.
It's not exactly wrong to call the Almighty by the impersonal "God", just as it's not wrong to call one's offspring "Child". If we want a familiar and close relationship, however, it makes sense to use the personal name of someone we love. The Scriptures encourage us to use God's personal name.
The Hebrew name “Yahweh” (or “Yehowah”) does seem to accurately pronounce the divine name. Just as the Hebrew name “Yeshua” (or “Yehoshua”) is translated into “Jesus” in English, the Hebrew name “Yahweh” is translated into “Jehovah” in English.
The important thing is to use God’s personal name in whatever language you speak, rather than insisting upon the impersonal! The name “Yahweh” is certainly preferable to the non-name “God” or “Lord”. If you speak English, feel free to use the name "Jehovah".
(Psalms 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth
(John 17:26) [Jesus said] I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them

We know God's name but to use it in vain means that we are disrespecting HIM as well as Jesus.
Now if you are referring to the part in the Bible that states God's name as Jehovah. Only Jehovah Witnesses use Jehovah.
Hope that this has helped you. I had a Jehovah Witness come to my house. I listened to what they had to say. I was upfront with the women telling them that I am a Baptist and they stated that they understood. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that I kept being corrected when I would say God, they would say you mean Jehovah.

Jesus should be the only name because he is the way, the truth and the life. Only thru him can we get to the Father. It's all about a relationship with GOD not names.

I don't know about the other "christians" but I use God's name quite frequently. The clincher? I have a healthy fear and respect of God, not to use his name so that it sounds like a curse word! If I truly love him, I will NOT drag his name in the dirt.

Because there are just too many variations of his name: Yahweh, Jehovah, Jehovah-Jireh, some people call Jesus and God the same and/or think they are the same, so it just kind of stirs up so much controversy if you call him by one name and others call him by another. But you believe what you believe. I just address him as "Father God" when I pray. It may be a little disrespectful, however, because I think if he talked to us directly, he'd address us by name.

God never gave us a name. In the Bible, He was first introduced to Moses as "I am who am" which translates to "Yahweh" in Hebrew. We refer to Him as "God" with a capital "G" instead, because He is known as the one true god above all others.
--------
I have an explanation for why "Yahweh" isn't written out in the Bible. It's always abbreviated as YHWH because of superstition at the time. Hebrews of the Old Testament perceived God as a terrifying, angry, fearsome God, and so to speak or write His full name out (Yahweh) would result in God's wrath. So it was always abbreviated as YHWH in text, and in speech I believe He was more commonly referred to as Abba (Father) or Lord (master, leader).
