I have never met a muslim but I'm sure they are nice people. I just don't share their false beliefs.

I've met several Muslims. I often go to this specialty grocery store (mostly it has Middle Eastern foods) that is owned and operated by a very nice Muslim family. They are among the kindest people I've ever met. They are very helpful in the store because I go in there not knowing what a lot of the stuff is, but they are patient and do not make me feel dumb for asking.
I have had class with several Muslim students, and they are just like all the other students. We have an active Muslim Student Association on campus, and they often have dinners where people can come and learn about Islam, and try some Middle Eastern food, and things like that. They are always very kind.

Most of the Muslims I have met are of the Ahmadiyya sect. They are a lot like Christians.
But I know and have worked along side Shiite and Sunni.
They are pretty normal, except the worst ones are the "born agains".
These are the guys who ignored their religion all their life, smoke, drank, chased women but then go back to the faith.
They usually want to convert you if you give them an opening, like showing even mild interest in their beliefs. I find them to be hypocrites and a couple seemed a little too sympathetic to the Anti American hate-mongers of the terrorist ilk.
To be fair, I know a few evangelical Christian who are just as boorish.
I think I will stick with Atheism. Less parochial hatred and hypocrisy

I have know several people who were Muslim, and they are very nice people. Try looking up on google the principal teachings and beliefs of the Muslim faith. They are actually very good morals I think everyone should try to live by. I am not Muslim personally. Not everyone is like those people on TV. They are a radical form of the religion, just like there are radical Christians or Jewish people. Unfortunately though, the whole religion has been stereotyped as a violent one, we should all do our part to try to change that.

I know one personally. I don't agree with all of their beliefs, most of them actually. The guy I know who is a Muslim told me that God (Allah) did not intend for a man to have only one woman, they believe in polygamy. That turned me off totally from wanting to learn more about their religion. I feel bad for the women down here in the South who have to wrap up in all those clothes. I know they be hot as hell, even when they go to amusement parks, they have to wear that stuff. I guess they never get to go swimming or anything. I think the religion is so structured that it takes a person with a lot of discipline to become a Muslim. But not all of them follow all the rules because I know some that you wouldn't even be able to tell they are Muslim by how they act. A friend of mines got killed and they said some weird stuff at his funeral at the gravesite ritual. But they translated it into English and asked everyone to repeat it and told us what it meant before they would lower his body into the ground. But I don't put down anyone's beliefs, its just a religion that's not for me.

I'm in the military and have been to Iraq twice so i have met many Muslims. In reality they are just like any other culture with a religion. They have there bums, scum, saints, and just average People. They have people who are active in the religion and still do there own thing (ex. drinking not accepted socially as appropriate). In general they are like any other religion. They have a different view than other religions do but so do all the other religions. There are many comparisons in both culture and religion that they have that we also have.

I met one Muslim...I worked with him for a couple years. While I did not perceive any violent tendencies as part of his character, he was a bit shifty. He kept to himself during discussions and I even bought a Koran from him to find out more about the Muslim religion. Over all....he was a nice guy and he was nothing like the folks in the middle east.

You could easily bump into a Muslim on the street and wouldn't even realise. Not all Muslims are from the Middle East and wear a turban! My husband was born a Muslim and he is Eastern European, most people think he is Italian. However, he is not particularly religious, but still a Muslim nonetheless.

I have met hundreds, worked and lived among them, some were lovely but the vast majority all had a stick up their collective ***. The were aggressive, hypocritical, at times violent, and extremely hard to talk to as they all hung around in their own little group.
I have met three really nice ones though.
If amdirien is right in his/her answer that extremists are from the middle east, then who the fook blew the crap out of London last year? Muslim racist to other muslims, YA just like Iraq. hee hee

I have met plenty of Muslims. They are, for the most part very nice peaceful people. Just like with other religious people, though, there are a few who are angry and back-biting.
The ones I've met are hard working, family people trying to make things work and provide for their families. Just like many American Christians I know.
Hope this helps.

The muslims I met were perfectly normal people. I guess just like in other religions there are people who are fanatical and others that just pay the lip service to the religion.
