A farmer has to get his sack of corn, a chicken, and a fox across a river. The farmer is only able to bring one of the above items along with him at a time. The only problem is if he leaves the fox alone with the chicken, the fox will eat the chicken, and if he leaves the chicken along the corn sack, then the chicken will eat the corn sack. How does the farmer get all 3 items across safely?

First take the chicken across. Next take the corn across, and bring the chicken back. Then take the fox across. Come back and get the chicken again.

Bring the chicken over first, then come back and get the fox. Drop the fox off and bring the chicken back, leave the chicken and take the corn. Drop off the corn, come back and get the chicken.

Takes some water from river, boils it... cooks the corn in it and has nice corn soup... then he roasts the chicken and enjoys the apetizer,, lastly he cooks the fox and has a nice meal... uses the fur to cover himself while he sleeps... gets up fresh with good stamina to swim across the river with everything safe in his tummy
