I would go. Not only does McDonald's rock, he could be testing you. If I asked a girl to dinner and said let's go to McDonald's and she was all for it, I would know there's something special about her. Imagine how much less tense it would be. There's always time for fancy restaurants if it goes any further. If you say no just because he said McDonald's, it makes you look sort of stuck up.

Well maybe that is all he could afford. I would ask him a series of questions to come to the conclusion to see if he was a cheap mf or if McDonald's is all that he could truly afford. Then you can make a decision on whether to keep him or kick him to the curb.
