Why is it that other countries protest when the U.S. returns illegal aliens to their respective countries? It is my understanding that a country has all the right to do that.
In Costa Rica, illegal aliens are put in buses and returned to their country (countries) of origin without anybody protesting. Why? Because they know they broke the law.
So how come the United States cannot enforce the laws without being criticized?
By the way, I am a legal resident of the United States, and I became one by being respectful of the law.

Thank you very much for this question. First of all, I don't know if I, as a White, home-grown American citizen could post a similar question without being labeled a racist. Just looking at some of the other responses and, although, I sense there is a bit of hatred in the responses, they are essentially correct. The USA, has been the dumping ground of the world's "poor, tired and humble masses" for centuries. For much of our history, the United States has not only accepted, but needed a continual influx of immigrants to populate and build our nation; it still relies on immigrants today. Heck, the USA has been known as and will always be considered "the Melting Pot" for our willingness to accept peoples from across the world; is there any other nation with as much diversity as ours? I think part of the problem, as others have said, is the fact that other nations truly have come to rely on the USA as a dumping ground for many of their most economically and politically oppressed citizens; we have traditionally served as a source of social/political relief for the powerful, corrupt leaders of many other nations who have simply been able to "encourage" their most desperate (who would normally be the biggest threat to their hold on authority) to simply go to the US, legally or not, for better opportunity and more liberties. The relatively recent debate on the negative effects that "illegal" immigration has had on American society (ranging from security issues to cultural issues to economic issues) has galvanized the American people to make an effort to finally take a look at this issue and, possibly, make an effort to limit/prevent "illegal" immigration for the various reasons cited above. Obviously, the leaders of the nations where the illegal immigrants come from simply find it easier and politically sensible to protest Americas actions to restrict illegal immigrants from coming into our nation rather than address the issues in their own countries that are creating so many desperate people that need to leave. You also have protests here in the US from those that benefit from the presence of illegals ranging from those that rely on them as cheap labor to those that have jobs based on serving illegal aliens and so on. In addition, you must also realize that the USA has become the new whipping boy of much of the international community now that we are the only current superpower remaining. Whereas when the Soviet Union existed as a rival, the US was seen as the protector of liberty and defender of smaller, less powerful democratic nations; but now anything the US does is seen as an act of imperialism, aggression, or, racism.

It's simple. Illegals in general are the lowest scum sucking bottom feeders, incapable of making a go of it in their own countries.

Mexico for example gets to foist millions of their most uneducated, poor, sick and illiterate refuse upon us, and we welcome them with free medical, jobs, schooling and aid.

You'd be pissed too if someone returned your trash right?

I think it is because a lot of people believe that America is supposed to support the entire world. They think it is wrong to send people back to poorer countries

That is just my opinion on the matter..
