Because it is sick. Go to the vet. It is probably a bladder infection. Kitty is gonna need antibiotics. Blood coming out of your cat is never anything but a trip to the vet.

It may be due to uterine discharge or to a bladder or kidney infection. Start by bringing a urine sample to your vet, and see where you need to go from there.

bladder infection, maybe crystals, very painful, can cause bad temperment, and cat will almost certainly start going poddy all over the house, it's easy to treat, but a vet visit is necisary, and a urinalisis
