Is he scared he might lose to someone that is actually worth fighting, instead of no names and less talented fighters. Its about time he stops dodging and talking noise and starts backing it up.

I hope so. Mayweather is the best boxer in the sport today and the best i've seen in 20 years he'll kill Margarito and you'll shut up.

"Flawed" Mayweather flat out said that he wont fight Margarito because Margarito is not a household name and that boxing is a business. Maybe Margarito isn't a household name in Floyd's house, but all boxing fans around the world would pay in gold to see these two fight. What a lame excuse. In Margarito, Mayweather sees a younger, faster, stronger, better, version of Jose Luis Castillo, and we all know that Castillo was robbed when they gave Mayweather the decision.

Margarito is our era's version of Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Mayweather is Leonard. Only thing is that Leonard walked the walk. Unlike Mayweather who wants to pick on lesser talent like Mosley or De La Hoya.

Sorry Floyd, if you fight either of those two bums, I'll wait for the replay the following Saturday on HBO. If you sign to fight Margarito, I'll refinance my house just to have enough money to buy ring side seats!

Why would the # pound for pound best fighter right now fight a guy like Antonio "Margaret" Margarito? Who has he beat? When has he been on TV? What fights stand out? Hell Margaret doesn't even belong in the same arena as Floyd. Kermit Cintron? Cintron started boxing when he was 19! Thats only 6 years experience. Six Heads Lewis? Lewis was a fraud that got destroyed twice by Mayorga.

Floyd is talking about fights with De La Hoya or Mosley.

Tell Margaret to beat somebody GOOD, then we can talk about Floyd.

Margarito is a very good fighter, top ten lb 4 lb. But to really feel like mayweather is scaried. Compare the names on Floyds rec sheet to Margarito. and no Margarito is not a household name, boxing fans now him but ask anyone else. Floyd, Oscar, Shane, Vargas, Gatti, Roy Jones. Those are household names.
I do think Margarito has a chance at dethroning Mayweather, but it is a slim chance, Margarito has good power and good skills with a solid chin.

I doubt it, honestly no one wants to fight Margarito, he is akward and makes good fighters look bad and there isn't a lot of money in a fight with him at this time. Mayweather will more than likely go after the big money fights like dela hoya or mosley

For the right money, he may fight him. But he said he's not a household name.
"He's not a household name," Mayweather says. "To get to where I'm at, I had to beat a lot of good fighters. I've proven myself over and over again. It's about business decisions and being smart. We need guys who are going to generate good numbers on pay-per-view, and Antonio Margarito is not known enough to bring in the non-boxing fans. We're trying to go to the next level."

He will eventually have to fight Margarito if Antonio keeps winning because it will be the biggest fight out there for him.
