relax. ap is colledge credit. that is for high school. so i guess you are in honors and not ap. however, your school system may be different or i may be a dumb@$$. so if it means high school credt for you then just do your homework and study for tests. you'll do fine. really.

Study, and pay attention in class.

Try to be in class on time, and try to avoid absences.

Get to know your teachers. This may not improve your grade, but a teacher will always be more willing to help a friend than a face in the crowd. Be respectful to them if at all possible.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, especially if you're on good terms with the profs. If something makes no sense, ask the teacher to restate what he said.

Don't put off your assignments until the last minute.

Find or organize a study group for your classes (preferrably with students who are in your classes or have been in the past. Get their telephone numbers and don't hesitate to call them when something doesn't make sense.

Use every available resource.

Avoid using Wikipedia as a source for any projects and essays.

When you're stumped and unable to contact your friends or teacher, ask your parents for help. The odds are that they've already seen some of the stuff that you'll be learning.

Always make sure that your thesis statement is supported by your paper.

If you disagree with one of your teachers, say as much. But do so politely. If one of your teachers is rude to you, be polite in return; a gentle answer turns away wrath, and makes the prof look like a doofus.

1. Look for others just beginning 7th grade. Make your first friends there.
2. Don't hesitate to ask teachers for help if you are confused about any of the 'new stuff' of 7th grade.
3. This would be a great time to begin a journal. Writing down your experiences will help you deal with any tension you may be experiencing and later you will look back and read what you have written and be proud of yourself for how well you have managed.
4. Take one 'tiny treat' to school with you each day. (A piece of your favorite candy for after lunch, a picture of someone you love, or a 'good luck charm'). Take it out and just enjoy it when things aren't going as you expected them to.
5. Don't start out trying to be someone you are not......you'll find it very difficult to keep up the act after awhile.....just be yourself.

pre-ap, not ap. that's highschool. stay away from all those wannabe gangsta people. if you're white and rich, they will jump you. get ready for a whole different language cuz this year will be the year you learn all the wordie dirties. and you have to take a lot of notes. i was in all pre-ap and it's a lot of work if you want to maintain your a's. try to make friends with all the teachers so when you accidentally forget something or don't turn something in, they'll go easy on you. don't do drugs in the empty classrooms and you'll do fine.

I'm not saying hold back, but do give others a chance to answer the questions. Don't do anyone Else's homework. Try to have fun with it. DO NOT GET INTO ANY RELATIONSHIPS!!! That is one of the worst things you can do. Drugs and relationships in 7th grade are synonyms! Good luck!!

In class just do what ur expected to and socially just be yourself and do things u enjoy. School is much more fun if you join clubs that interest you but just don't spend too much time in club meetings. You also need time to socialize with friends.

Don't worry...I was in and currently am in all the advanced placement classes as well. Don't listen to the horror stories people tell you. I've come to learn that nothing's as hard as anyone says it is.
