A point to consider. We can get goose bumps on parts of your body where there is little or no hair.

You seem to have some point to this question that will rock the very foundations of the Christian faith. However, I'm afraid you haven't conveyed it very well as no-one seems to see what you're getting at. Goose bumps could be the result of natural selection or of intelligent design, but whatever the answer it's not going to undermine anyone's beliefs. Try thinking about the the Big Bang or why there weren't any dinosaurs in Genesis. They seem to be more pertinent questions.
Why do people take such joy in trying to prove that everyone else believes the wrong thing?

Goose bumps (AE), also called goose pimples, goose flesh (BE), chicken skin (Hawaiian Pidgin), or cutis anserina, are the bumps on a person's skin at the base of body hairs which involuntarily develop when a person is cold or experiences strong emotions like fear, or harmonious joy. The reflex of producing goose bumps is known as horripilation, piloerection, or the pilomotor reflex. It occurs not only in humans but also in many other mammals; a prominent example are porcupines which raise their quills when threatened.
Goose bumps are created when tiny muscles at the base of each hair, known as arrectores pilorum, contract and pull the hair erect. The reflex is started by the sympathetic nervous system, which is in general responsible for many fight-or-flight responses.

Hello.
We get goose bumps when our body temperature drops,
this causes the hairs on our body to raise up, particularly on your arms and neck. The idea is this traps warm air on the surface of our body.
clever hey !!

Surely the scientific reason IS the creationist reason? God realised that without thick furs, we would get cold and so he created a system such that when it gets cold the hairs on our arms become erect and trap warm air.........

Because that's the way God created us. Just because we where created by a loving and powerful God. Doesn't mean that somethings about us aren't['t answered by science. You are trying to disprove the existence of God but you are doing a rubbish job at it.

Why bother asking Creationists "why" anything? The answer is always "because God made it that way".
