you are actualy perfect weight. If you feel the need to get a little slimmer, try pilates, that works on thighs, abs, and butts.

You sound like a very active young lady, and that is great!
Your height and weight are actually very good already. Do not let anyone make you think you need to diet or lose weight!!! Eat a good, healthy, balanced diet with plenty of fruit, vegetables, and whole grains. Don't drink a lot of pop, and try to avoid fast food. Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated.
Keep up your cheerleading exercise and other activities. You are still young, and your body is not done developing yet. I know it is tough seeing superskinny models and actresses all over the place.
But be strong! Fit and healthy young women are beautiful...the skin and bones look is not!
If you would like to vary your exercise routine some, try riding a bike. It's lots of fun. Throw on your headphones and hit a trail. That will work your abs, butt, and legs as well as anything.
Keep it up, and good luck!

I would keep up what you're already doing... it sounds like you are on the right track. Plus, I'll bet in the next year or so you're body is going to change quite a bit... lean out & grow taller. At 13 your body still has some adolescent chub that goes away after you finish going through puberty.
Give your body a little time, continue working out a couple days a week (swimming is the best full body workout), and eat healthy foods -- limit greasy, sugary junk. Don't starve yourself either, that makes your body hold onto the fatty foods you eat and brings down your metabolism. Making it harder to lose weight in the long run.

You don't need to lose weight! Check your BMI (Body Mass Index) on a site like ediets.com. You are too young to be losing weight! You need that weight on you as you grow. You're body doesn't stop growing until you reach your 20's!
The best exercises I have done for my abs are that ab wheel and the big inflatible yoga balls.
Bally's and Gold's have this great piece of equipment called a butt blaster.
With your hand weights, you should be fine. Do 3 sets with no more than 20 reps at a time.

Exercising won't make you lose the ten pounds you want to lose. Cardio burns calories but you're probably doing plenty of that already, for thirteen (swimming & jogging). Exercise routines like you're talking about will turn the fat you have into muscle and muscle weighs more than fat so you may actually gain weight. To lose weight you should eat less and drink a TON of water. You'll sweat more and use the restroom more and probably lose ten pounds of water weight within a month.

You already seem to exercising enough. Some push ups, leg lifts and sit ups will develop strength and tone your abs and arms.
You are to young to use weights yet as it will affect your growth (16 is when some weight training can be started).
Your body is growing and developing so a diet is more harm than good. The only thing I can suggest is cutting back on junk food and drinking more water.

The fact that you cheer, swim and jog and weigh 125lb at 5 ft tall probably means you are mostly muscle... you are going to have a hard time loosing weight... but, if you are looking to tone just do what we used to do after cheer practice and on our days off...
-Stretch for at least 10 mins everyday
-run 1 mile everyday
-100 crunches everyday
-100 situps everyday
-50 pushup everyday (men's style... no legs bent!)
This is how our coach got us whipped into chape for states and nationals... it worked!

Planks for the abs..lunges for tush and thighs. You may feel a little chubby but its really your age. Your developing hips and your hormones are kicking in. You need a little baby fat to develop properly. You'll trim down naturally by 17. Stay away from soda though.

It's wonderful that you are already very physical, all you need now is to learn how to watch what you eat. That's not really dieting, but just learning portion control. This is the greatest FREE website that will help you reach your goal! www.sparkpeople.com

listen chicky, you're only 13.....
if u wanna loose weight i suggest jogging or running....works your entire body and burns the most calories
set goals for yourself and eat healthier food, not necessarily less food, but just healthier food,
50% of weight loss happens by changing your diet and the other 50% comes from exercising
