First of all, if God had done what you think he should have done, you would not be here.
Second of all, Satan was smarter than to challenge God's power, he challenged God's right to rule, to decide what is right and what is wrong. That takes time to prove. If God had just destroyed Satan and Adam and Eve, all the other good angels who were watching, would have still been there wondering if what Satan said was true. Should God have destroyed the innocent angels as well? Now that would have been unjust and unloving.
This isn't going to last forever. God is going to destroy Satan and he through his Son is going to bring the earth back to paradise conditions. We just have to get over ourselves and realize it is bigger than we are.
The Bible assures us: “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to [God’s] promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” (2Â Peter 3:13; Isaiah 65:17) Sometimes when the Bible speaks of “the earth,” it means the people who live on the earth. (Genesis 11:1) So the righteous “new earth” is a society of people who receive God’s approval. Jesus promised that in the coming new world, those approved by God would receive the gift of “everlasting life.” (Mark 10:30)

Well this is how it happened Satan once was an angel it says it in the bible when satan was an Gods best angel the most powerful and buetiful angel but Lucifer was so powerfull that he could overtake God so he rebelled in heaven so God threw him down along with 1/3 of the angels Lucifur converted those angels became demons
Now God also said in Genesis that he was very sad because he made humans and they sinned against him but because he is a God of love he didnt say hey ill just wipe you out or make you robots so you have to love me but he will keep you the way you are so if you choose to love God you truly love him not just because you have to but because you want to
So God isnt just showing off his ego he is at war with satan and God could destroy him easily but he also said he wouldnt make us as robots and if he just destroyed satan thats exactly what we would be because all sin comes from satan and without satan there is no influence of sin So God left us the choice to choose him or satan to fallow CHrist or the world and he also said if your not for me your against me
See what i dont understand is why everyboudy like to diss on God like my favorite is where you ask if God is so powerfull can he create something even more powerfull then himeself No he cant he is all powerfull doesnt mean he can do everything actually there is many things God cant do like sin lie and he cant hate so its funny he is so powerfull that he cant do certain things
And listen all these people saying blaspamy and saying your to young or anything dont listen to theme they are all hypocrits if they try to awnser this questiong and then diss on you
and are the reason Christ and God get such a bad rep
another thing dont undermine the bible if you have more questions email me becuase I have reasearch to prove the bible one of the most accurate writting on the planet includding 25,000 manusccripts cross analyzed against each other along with over 10,000 archeological peaces of evidence proving the ressurection
and age doesnt matter I am 16 and im not in a bible beater family im in a family that anytime i mention the name Christ or God i get called a KKK Cross burner that has been brain washed they all are hardcore evolusionist ..God Bless

While there are various schools of thought is that 'this' is a game of some sort wherein God shows Satan that He is a forgiving good, or some similar script, that is not necessarily the truth.
From what the Bible has to say, and from my own viewpoint, the entire thing with Satan is a pretty small part of the overall picture. In fact, we see in Job that Satan has VERY few powers without God's express consent.

I don't think you've read the Bible lately. In the book of Genesis you will read about Adam and Eve. They made a choice to sin. God didn't choose this for them...they chose. After they sinned God knew what the world would be like. He knew even then you would be asking this question some day. (pretty good huh?"
God's ego? You might want to re-think asking about that. Sounds like you may have an ego.
God shows us love by giving us life! He gives us love by providing our needs.
You're being judgemental with you state that "just admitted I screwed up with this first set...". You've screwed up plenty I'm sure and God didn't just wipe you out did He? ("oops so and so screwed up let me get rid of them") I'm glad He doesn't do that.
I pray that you will become aware of what God has and can do for you. He's such a loving God and one that I am glad to have in my life.
God Bless and keep you.

The Almighty is lovingly allowing the issue of Universal Sovereignty to be settled once for all time. Once the superiority of God's rule has been proven, and some from among mankind have proven that they can remain loyal to God, these issues can never be re-visited.
Thereafter, if any angel or human rebelled, he would be destroyed immediately.

It isn't God that has the big ego. It is Satan. Satan's biggest accomplishment is making people believe that God doesn't exist.

Personally I've never heard the Christian God had anything to prove to Satan, wouldn't casting him into Hell pretty much establish the pecking order?

Careful my dear, you are bordering on blashphemy. God can't err. God is perfect. God didn't screw up. Man did. Man sinned. Every angel and human has free will. God does not inferfer with free will.

For the same reason you asked this question.
-Although religions have evolved in shape and hierarchy and other context, theology has not been quite discussed therefore there's no adequate understanding.
-God is not a stranger to every feeling that we as humans experience.
