So why are Christians put to death in Most middle east countries?

Question

Even though i am sure most muslims have no clue what the koran says, just like the bible thumpers that come on here and preach hate, hell, and some one and only path to heaven. Atleast most middle east muslims can actually say they are illiterate, not sure about christains justificaion.

Traditionally, Islam has been much more tolerant of Christians and Jews than Christianity has been of Muslems and Jews. Islam teaches the "People of the Book" (i.e. followers of Bible based religions) are accorded special protection and respect even if they aren't Muslems. Thus when the Moors invaded Spain there was tolerance of Christians and Jews. When the Christians re-took Spain one of the first things they did was kick out the Jews and steal their stuff.

Unfortunately, much of the tolerance of Islam has been lost in modern times by the spread of islamic fundamentalism which has stifled the once vibrant intellectual spirit of the religion.
But as for killing Christians- they usually don't. They might require public following of a lot of Islamic laws such as not eating during the day during Ramadan and not drinking booze, but they let Christians practice in all Islamic countries.

The problem in most middle eastern countries is that they memorize the Quran but don't actually understand it and follow it, Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) once said "he who wrongs a Jew or a Christian will have me as his accuser on the Day of Judgment"...
Also, the other reason middle eastern countries don't accept Christians and Jews is that terrorists such as Bush accuse muslims for things that they have not done, (e.g. Israel attacking Lebanon for no reason)...
Not every Muslim is a terrorist, just like not every Christian was a crusader...

There will be true believers in all religions! First Islam is not a religion it is a way you see Islam means " bending to the will of God" So there are those who bend to Gods will no matter where they are. "All Muslims go to heaven." Let me explain!Muslim means one who practises Islam" bending to the will of God" So you can say you are Muslim or you can say I practise bending to the will of God (you can say it in English if it makes you feel better)but just because you say you are Muslim does not mean you are! There is a time to kill as the bible itself states numerous times. But there is a strict guideline for this and forgiveness is always the better measure. You see you can not take some extremists and say they are what Islam is. God knows the ones who truly bend to his will no matter what they may call themselves!

I say they are put to death for one of the oldest reasons on earth - REVENGE.

Islamics put them to death in retaliation for all the deaths Christians have caused over the milleniums, since the invention of their religion. Starting with the Inquisition (run by St. Dominic de Guzman, who was later SAINTED for killing people......) in the 1200's, followed by the Knights Templar in the 1300's, the Fransicans (yup - thats right - they even killed their own Catholic members, becuase they chose a life of poverty, so they "must be in league with the Devil!) in the 1400's, scientists of the 1500's, and witches of the 1600's.... Protestants in the 1700's...the lists goes on....

If you believe that and I disagree with the word most in your question . Why do you think that Christians are unwelcome in the middle east? I met a muslim girl working at the grocery store. She is not unwelcome here, not by me anyway. There are muslims who do not feel that way about christians. It is the fundamentalsis hate groups that hate Christians and Americans in general.

Where is your evidence that they get killed in the Middle east?
The quranic verse explains about some jews and christians who actually did beleive the Prophets that were sent down to them and beleived in Allah, not the ones present in modern times.

In fact, in the time of the crusades, when the English used Christianity to justify rampaging through the holy land killing every muslim in sight, the muslims were actually very tolerant of peaceful Christians, and let them live there.

The muslims are trying to eliminate everyone else from their countries yet Bush wants to go and teach them democrasy. Strange but true.

Muslims are trying to eliminate anyone who is non muslims and keep their homes safe and sound, but want to come to our countries and homes and create chaos. They want to have islamic states where non muslims are not allowed but come into my home and create each and every criminal activity under the sun and then assume innocence or claim brainwashing.

They do not allow non muslims in mecca or medina, but come to my holy cities and destroy them completely and build their mosques in the place of our temples.

I dont understand the rest of the world. Even today we have not learnt our lesson to build huge boundaries like Israel and start to discriminate.

Muslims are cunning; wicked people. Dont trust them. If you hear a soft spoken muslim trying to convince you he is not to blame and he is not violent, dont believe him because his brothers and sisters in religion of islam are right there stabbing you in the back.

They aren't put to death. Many Middle East countries have vibrant Christian communities. What IS frowned upon & punished is a muslem converting to Christianity. They see this as apostacy.
