Should I fix my cat and make him an indoor cat? He's a male, gray with even darker spots and stripes (spots mostly), and he's 9 -10 months old.

Yes, it is better for his health. Neutering him will keep him from roaming the neighborhood (possibly getting hit by a car or tortured by marauding children or other animals) and spraying everything. He won't get certain cancers. He will be a more calm, affectionate pet.
You will also be saving lives. Millions of cats are killed in shelters because there are not enough homes for them. Spaying and Neutering pets is the only way we are going to solve this problem.
Good Luck
Ps. Do it soon. If he learns to spray he may never stop. Even after he is neutered.

neuter him, do not contribute to the over population, and it's not safe to let him be outside at all, did you know the avg life span on outdoor cats is only 2 years, when the indoor ones much of the time live in excess of 15 years

I definately think you should. Fixing can mellow him out and make him more easy to befriend and to be your pet. If you don't, he may want to get out in order to find lady-cats - which could lead to stray or unwanted litters of kittens (and there's *much* too many of those).
Having him be an indoor cat can keep him healthier & safer, too. He's less likely to get parasites or to be run over. He's also less likely to kill birds or other animals (pet cats already kill far too many birds).

what does the color of your cat matter, you have to fix it weather or not its indoor or outdoor! Male cats will "spray" and mark all over your house! it does not smell pleasant!! and if its an outdoor cat it will inpregnate female cats and there will tons of kittens everywhere!! HELLO!!

Fix him, for sure. If you live in a busy neighborhood, with lots of people and cars, make him indoors, he'll live longer that way. If not, let him be indoor/outdoor.

oh yes defiantly have your cat spay.

if you won't he will start spraying your house with urine.
once he will smell a female cat in heat he will run away he can get hit by a car and die, and he is in danger of getting FIV.
his chances of getting cancer will increase
in all it is more healthy for your cat to be spayed.

YES fixing cats is good... one of the last things we need is kittens running around. i have 4 cats, all of them are fixed...there are so many kittens that are in animal shelters that need adopting. many of the cats/kittens that dont get addopted, get put to sleep to make room for the other kittens that have come in. so i think you should get your cat fixed...its good for them

if your going to keep it inside make sure your able to spend a lot of time with it. In my opinion its a good idea to keep cats inside if possible, when they are left outside they can get lost easily, they also kill small birds and other animals

yes, people are idiots who let their cat outside to get hurt in a fight with another animal or get run over by a car or many other things that can happen out there.
