You can start a website for one. With a website, you can not only share your own experiences, but you can invite others as well. You can also point to professionals that will help with depression, and discuss the latest medications, therapies, etc. If you feel qualified, you could discuss things with people one to one via email from your website. Once you get it all rolling, you could write your own book. Many self-help books are written by people that have overcome obstacles, just like you have!

There are many mental health centers seeking volunteers. You can spend an hour or two (or more) each week, talking to seriously mentally ill patients. Your experience will provide some insight, and you will also feel better in return. Experience is the greatest teacher, and I believe you possess what it takes to be an excellent volunteer. It doesn't necessarily have to be for depression. A lot of youth centers are in need for volunteers. You can help kids who are in trouble with the law or dealing with life's issues (drugs, gangs etc.) because they are often using those activities to fill a void. Show them that life is too wonderful to waste...you did it, and they can too.

Volunteer at your local mental health association. Or talk to your doctor maybe he/she will let you lead a group with other clients that are depressed. You could make flyers and hand out to people and have a discussion!

Start telling your story, to as many receptive ears as possible.
