Two Americans citizens want to marry in Vancouver, Canada. This wedding would be legally recognized in the U.S.?

Absolutely. My first marriage was in Canada and the US Army took that marriage certificate as easily as they did one from the USA.

Think for a moment. If marriage in a foreign land is not recognized in U.S. What will happen as soon as you land in U.S. You both become bachelor, ownership of assets, business papers, job position, legal papers that you brought with you all become null and void? And you are nameless (no I.D. recognize able) person. Funny ha!

Yes. The US recognizes as legitimate any marriage that is considered legitimate in the country in which it is performed.

Yes--the only thing you need is to have some documentation that can serve as proof of marriage (marriage certificate, signed marriage license, etc...). Congratulations, by the way!!

there are even some 'same sex' married couples in the USA that were married in Canada.
