my granny makes white fish with bones in it and puts lukewarm lumpy white sauce with bizarre herbs in it. Sorry Nan, but even the dog won't eat it when we try and feed it to him under the table

I once ran out of food in my flat and had just paid the rent. All I could rustle up was a sardine omelette cooked with lard instead of butter. It was truly revolting. I attempted to make a curry with Korma curry paste and a tin of corned beef, didn’t work. Also, cheese sauce over apple crumble (I thought it was custard).

When I was pregnant I craved V8 Juice & Ben & Jerrys Chunky Monkey Ice Cream (Together as a shake). Makes me gag now just thinking about it, but I practically lived on them.
Sometimes I added a couple dashes of Tobasco Sauce too.
