Waha! One of my Bostons always did this. He would sit there and very slowly nod off. Eventually, he would either jerk himself awake, like you say, or he would simply tip over and keep snoring. *lol* Funny stuff. My two-year-old daughter does the same thing...

He eventually grew out of it, but I would imagine there would be some dogs that wouldn't. I wouldn't worry, as long as there are no other signs of trouble.

All the best!

Let him be or get him to lay down. It's completely normal, but doesn't happen to all dogs. Kind of like people that fall asleep sitting up.

he's fine, he's just tired. puppies need a lot of sleep and they will fall asleep whenever they want to. when he jerks himself awake, it like if you were to fall asleep sitting up (at your desk at school/work, whatever) and as soon as your head starts to drop it wakes you up. he'll eventually grow out of it, don't worry

We have a 10 month old puppy that does that. Some animals just do that...there's nothing wrong, it's just the way they sleep. If he wants to lay down, he will. Ours does...nothing to worry about.

It's just a harmless "quirk" he has. Enjoy it, laugh at him, if you can't laugh at crazy pets who can you laugh at?
