Careful - there are THREE kinds of gallons!

The US dry gallon is 4.404898 liters
The US liquid gallon is 3.78544 liters
The Imperial (British) gallon is 4.546074 liters

The type of liquid has nothing to do with it, so just multiply the right kind of gallons by the conversion factor to end up with lpm.

If you are talking engine oil in the US, then Gerard S is probably correct: GPM x 3.785 = LPM.

if you know gpm you can convert that number to lpm. it is the quantity of liquid you are looking for. convert gallons to liters. it makes no difference what the liquid is, the ratio will be the same
