My boyfriend is 19 and is stil very controlled by his mom. He seems very attached to his mom, but yet he loves me. I want him to move in with me, but he seems reluctant. Should I make him move out and cut the chord with his mom or should I find another guy?

Hon, you seriously need to find another guy. I made a similar mistake as you and it was so annoying. This mother controlled her son so much,that it was embarrasssing to even go to the house and visit her. I hated her so badly. Please cut the cord with his mother and find another guy because if a mother acts controlling now, she will probably controll his whole life.
Find another guy.

You can't make a guy do some thing like that unless he wants to. If you try to force him to cut the cord with his mom you will find yourself in the middle and eventually without a boyfriend. If you can't deal with his relationship with his mom then maybe you need a different boyfriend.

Good luck. I tried to "cut the cord" with my ex and his mom for 13 years. We now have been seperated for 3 years, he's 37, and STILL lives at home w/ "mommy". I am left to raise our 11 year old daughter alone. Get out while you still can!!!!!!!

you shouldn't make him do anything he has to decide if he wants to be a child or a man. there's nothing wrong with being attached to your mother but it goes to a certain limit. and about getting another boyfriend you have to think to yourself do you love him back and will you regret leaving him after it's over and done.

off the cuff, i'd say move on. however, i don't know how old you are. that would be a concern for the b/f and the mother, along with your potential for having a place. do you work, etc? sit down and talk to him. see what is holding him.
