Mainly because glue needs to dry to stick things together. They do stick on their bottle when the top is not properly fixed back and you may then have the problem of opening the container!

glue needs air to dry... if there is no air to help it dry and stick then it stays a liquid... therefore you should always keep the lid on tight when not using glue so that it won't dry on the bottle...
