Why ask? Your just setting yourself up. She's going to list off all these great things about you...and yet, she won't date you. You'r much better off asking out and dating lots of women and just be yourself. If they don't like you, fine, respect their decision but leave with a sense that they are really missing out. As much or more than you are. You don't have to be anybody's "type". They are most likely using that because they know you are a decent guy and just don't want to hurt your feelings. Keep asking girls out, be respectful, and have FUN! Dating should be fun. Find a girl, ask her out, do something fun together (don't go to movie on the first date), and just be yourself! at 26 maybe you shouldn't be asking women what they think of you that is sort of teenage behavior. there could be many reasons why your not someone's type don't worry about it just find someone that likes everything about you

maybe because you are asking them to self assure that you a an attracting man. Many women find confidence a sexy thing and if you are walking around asking them if they find you attractive thsi is a turn off. put the moves on and let her see otherwize stop asking ... :)

i dont get why girls do that honestly myself, uhm, maybe its a cop-op, or they are looking for the type that they know of. obviously they dont know you, so maybe you should just stick with the nice girls
