Funny you should ask. I had a friend in school whose father did that... and divorced his wife, left his kids, and moved in with his lover. It destroyed my friend's life.

Be accepting of his confession. You can't fault what he feels and his coming out and being honest about it. Hopefully you'd love him no matter what.
