Initially it will cool you down by making you sweat more, however, sweating means you lose water. Not a good thing, obviously, so it's far better to have cold drinks, cools you down AND rehydrates, bargain!

It's true. Hot drinks make you sweat. The purpose of sweating is to cool you down

Yes it is. A hot drink in hot weather will cool you down. You sweat more, therefore reducing your body temperature much quicker.

Yes they do say that but in the hot weather you should drink cold drinks and not hot drinks as you dehighdrate more with hot drinks ask your doc or someone else they will tell you the same thing

On balmy days like these, there's nothing better than a Phaal curry and a steaming hot mug of coffee to put ice in yuor veins. Either that or your will keel over with heat exhaustion.

No hot drinks heat up your body. Why do you think people drink hot chocolate on a cold day. When you swallow a hot drink you can feel the heat of the drink as you swallow going down in your throat.

no, this isn't true. hot drinks in hot weather make you more dehydrated. you're supposed to drink something like 4-6 litres of water a day in heat like this.

yes it does...the hot drink causes an increase in temperature which sends a message to the brain to cool you down even more....by dilating blood vessels near the surface of your skin
