heat times last for about a week or so.

make sure she doesn't run away or she will get pregnant.

once the heat period will be over contact a local animal shelter and ask them how much does a spay cost, they usualy charge very little or nothing at all.

One unspayed cat and her offspring can produce 420,000 cats in seven years.
over 5 millions cats and dogs are being put down each year. some of your cat kittens will be part of the statistic no matter how sure you are that they got a loving home.
Spaying eliminates the stress and discomfort that females endure during heat periods,
a cat chances of getting uterus cancer and infections are growing with each heat period and pregnancy.

Your girl needs to be spayed. If that is the part that you consider "gross", it needs to be done. She will be miserable and make you miserable. She WILL escape and probably get pregnant. You are going to have males hanging around and spraying your doors, and areas around your house/apartment. Check with your local animal shelter as they sometimes have a spay/neuter clinic that is not as expensive as using a private vet. You have to spend money sometimes if you want to have a happy and long relationship with your cat. I don't mean to preach, but you have chosen to take her life into your hands so you are responsible for taking care of her. Spaying will be your biggest expense for many years as long as you keep her inside and feed her good food, I don't mean expensive food, just a good dry food. The joy she will bring into your life is something that no amount of money can buy. Please, get her spayed and enjoy. Take care and good luck.

It's impossible when a cat is in heat she's on her period and girls can't make their period go away without birth control and they don't have kitty birth control yet you would have to get her fixed to fix this problem and that cost money and if your not willing to pay to get her fixed you should find a friend that can

You can't get an animal out of 'heat'. It is a part of them. Just like you can't get a woman out of her period. That's how the body works. Your best bet is to keep the cat inside or get her spade. That's the only way.

Spaying is the answer. You can't own a pet without spending some money on its health!

You probably shouldn't have gotten a cat if you aren't willing to spend the money to take care of it.

Sorry you can't. That's like asking how to stop or ease up your own period without going on the pill or having surgery.
Have her spayed.
