Many scientists of all nationalities visit Antarctica, for all sorts of research puropses during what passes for the "Summer" season. Actually, although about 98% of Antarctica is covered by snow and ice, the remainder is bare rock. In these areas, there is little or no precipitation, it is technically a "desert".

No, but I would like to. You know, to see March of the Penguins in real-life format. Gotta admit; it would be awesome.

I WAS JUST THERE THE OTHER DAY, THE PALM TREES AND MILES OF BEACHES ARE JUST WONDERFUL THIS TIME OF YEAR
