Be honest with him about your feelings regards to the therapy. Ask him why he doesn't ask you about the rape. Tell him that you want to talk about it and ask him to let you talk. Take your lead and open your heart. For every his word tell him what you think and how it makes you feel. Sometimes don't wait for questions, talk and if you need to cry, than cry. I think that there is no good enough therapist to understand your feelings, because nobody was in your skin when that happened. You will help your self if you talk and the therapist is there to listen.

It doesn't seem like you have a problem discussing it. No offense intended. So perhaps he is searching for a deeper problem. Most times they are trying to make you see something your missing. On the other hand, why don't you try another therapist if you are not comfortable with the way this is going?

You need another therapist. Please change asap. You need someone who can help you work your way thru the anger and pain. this one can not help you. A woman counselor may be much better for you at this time. Therapists don't always fit with their clients. Don't let this jerk make you doubt yourself. You deserve better. Take care of you and be good to yourself.

it's possible that he doesn't really believe. I'm sorry to say because alot of people don't believe some rape victims due to a desire for attention. you may consider switching therapists.

get a new therapist.... one you feel comfortable with...
please stop hurting yourself...
i know how upsetting rape is....and i have self injured too...but self injury is not the answer....
you probably have PTSD...and might need to see both a psychiatrist and a therapist.. you might need to be on meds.....
good luck to you.....

Get a female - or at least another - therapist. If it's not working for you, it's not working for you.

Honey, you need another therapist! And meanwhile, tell this one's superiors what's going on. I suspect they'll come down on him hard! And I hope they do!

I would say he is uncomfortable with the subject. You might bring it up like that and ask if he could refer you to a different counselor.
