i am using Nero 6 and when i want to burn a cd it only has 'Image recorder' in the 'Choose recorder' option. My cd/dvd R says it is working properly so i can not understand why i can't burn cds. Please somebody help.

right click on "my computer icon" , choose properties, goto "hardware" , then " device manager" and check to see if your CD burner is listed and working properly.
If all is OK, then make sure your Nero is not a bundled one, as Nero that comes free with certain burners , only work with those devices.

if you got the disc from a friend it might not except your drive
this happens if it comes with the drive
you could try uninstalling you cd/dvd drive reboot and let windows find it again
nero then mlight find it as well
does windows media player find it?
stupid questian is your rom capable of burning?

If Nero came with your burner, as it did with mine, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Nero? Reminder: Be sure to Restart after uninstalling and again after reinstalling. Good luck.

have u got a compatable cd, or have you chosen the right burning program, could be a number of things

open nero, there's an option to pick your cdrom, PICK IT (E: or D:)
