Try a program called "PhotoPlus". Search google for it. It doesn't have some of the advanced features of Photoshop, but it does have a lot of the same functions. If you have any other questions, email me.

The reason I don't suggest the Gimp is because it comes with a lot of baggage if you're trying to run it on windows. Since it was originally made for Linux, you've gotta install a big software package.

If you run LINUX, there are many choices, all free, starting with GIMP.

If you are stuck with Windows, then try the evaluation version of Paint Shop Pro by Jasc software. It's very good.

Contrary to what was stated above, GIMP is available whether you use Windows or Linux. It's the most powerful open source (and free) graphics app around, though it does take a little while to get used to its interface.

I really like to use Irfanview. It has a lot of options for cropping, resizing, resampling, color balance, sharpen, etc.

It does not offer any drawing options, but it will also work as a video player, mp3 player, audio player and more.

Another free software package is Picasa. It's really good for sorting and organizing photos.

Glad you are not looking to snag a copy for free. If you are looking just to catalog and clean up photos, try picasa.
