I currently have Paint Shop Pro at the minute but was wondering which one was better? and why?

Why is Paint Shop Pro better the Photo Shop or why is Photo Shop so much better than Paint Shop Pro?

Ive seen loads of tutorials on the net to do pretty much the same thing and was contemplating changing to photo shop.

I prefer PaintShopPro and PhotoImpact over Photoshop...but for me it is emotional.

Let me explain.

I first learned to make pixels do my bidding by using a program called PhotoImpact, then I bought a copy of PaintShop Pro and learned that program.

A friend of mine had bought a new version of Photoshop and gave me his old one...not Elements, PhotoShop.

I was giddy with excitement. This is the program the big boys use :)

I got it on my computer, brought up the workspace, opened a picture,.....and was sooo disappointed when I knew how to work it. I felt let down. I was expecting a huge learning curve..hah.

Sigh. There is not a thing I can do in Photoshop that I cannot do with PaintShopPro, or even PhotoImpact. I go onto the net and grab Photoshop tutorials, and do them in Paintshop Pro.

If I was professional graphic artist I might know why so many people go gaga over Photoshop, but I am just someone who enjoys commanding pixels.

Good luck. Both are good programs....as is PhotoImpact.

They both have the same basic features, but personally, I like Photoshop much better than Paint Shop Pro. The tools and commands in Photoshop seem more intuitive to me and make much more sense when I'm trying to do something.

Ease of use = less frustration = more productivity.
