Thank you for your response. I am looking to get the 6 cd multichanger (6006 model) and I wanted to know whether there is a separate box to hold the cds or does the head unit store them?

I have a ford focus 6 cd changer. I've took it out just recenty because it needs repairing. Anyway, you'll find its an all in 1 unit, suprised you did'nt know that already. There is no boot fitted changer. Its totally integrated. You can get the clips from halfords really cheap.

I'm a little confused regarding your question but regarding the tool to release the deck, just bend a couple pieces of wire ( a coat hanger cut in pieces will work) into a u shape. Insert them in the holes, and pull out.
