"The Hereafter is far better for you than this first (life)." (93:4)
"The day will come when every soul will serve as its own advocate, and every soul will be paid fully for whatever it had done, without the least injustice." (16:111)
"As for those who lead a righteous life, male or female, while believing, they enter Paradise; without the slightest injustice." (4:124)
Say, "O my people, do your best, and so will I. You will surely find out who the ultimate victors are." Certainly, the wicked will never succeed."(6:135)
"You shall strive for the cause of God as you should strive for His cause." (22:78)
"Never indeed, by your Lord; they are not believers unless they come to you to judge in their disputes, then find no hesitation in their hearts whatsoever in accepting your judgment. They must submit a total submission."(4:65)
"O you who believe, you shall be absolutely equitable, and observe God, when you serve as witnesses, even against yourselves, or your parents, or your relatives. Whether the accused is rich or poor, GOD takes care of both. Therefore, do not be biased by your personal wishes. If you deviate or disregard (this commandment), then GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do." (4:135)
"You shall prepare for them all the power you can muster, and all the equipment you can mobilize, that you may frighten the enemies of God, your enemies, as well as others who are not known to you; God knows them. Whatever you spend in the cause of God will be repaid to you generously, without the least injustice. If they resort to peace, so shall you, and put your trust in God. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient." (8:60-61)
"Our Lord is God." If it were not for God's supporting of some people against others, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, where the name of God is commemorated frequently, would have been destroyed. Absolutely, God supports those who support Him. God is Powerful, Almighty."(22:39-40)
"Those who readily fight in the cause of God are those who forsake this world in favor of the Hereafter. Whoever fights in the cause of God, then gets killed, or attains victory, We will surely grant him a great recompense. Why should you not fight in the cause of God when weak men, women, and children are imploring: Our Lord, deliver us from this community whose people are oppressive, and be You our Lord and Master." (4:74-75)
"God advocates justice, charity, and regarding the relatives. And He forbids evil, vice, and transgression. He enlightens you, that you may take heed. (16:90)
"If they resort to peace, so shall you, and put your trust in God. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient." (8:6

Those heartbreaking photographs are just one more reason why I am absolutely sure that the doctrine of reincarnation is true, and that the "God" in the bible is nothing more than a popular and persistent lie. Reincarnation is the *only* doctrine that makes perfect sense of (the true) 'God' and of life and justice. Humans have free will - and every person alive made the choice to become incarnate and to develop and grow as a separate human being - without divine intervention. What most humans don't realize is that we are all part of the same source, the same cosmos, which is God. Not the biblical 'God' which is a patchwork of superstitions and senseless dogma, but the real God -- the cosmos.
If we ever reach a point in our experiences when we recognize God in everything and everyone (including ourselves), then we can begin to understand the profound responsibility we collectively have for one another and the world in which we live. Then and only then can we begin to change the world. We're a long way from that, however, and as long as we "blame" 'God' or 'Satan' for the things for which we ourselves are responsible, we continue to live in dark confusion, killing each other over lies.
I believe these children and all of these innocent people died for a reason, and that the reason is ultimately worth their sacrifice. They are the faces of senseless, brutal war, the spectres of false religions gone mad. The dead are our brothers, sisters, our selves. Each one that touches a heart or skims across a mind makes a difference.

I looked at those pictures, although their a little biased, i do agree no one deserves things like that to happen to them least of all children, unfortunately due to our selfish greed we end up killing each other, rather than the people we initially went to war for.I think the saddest thing is that we never (or rarely)learn from our mistakes. Today photographers can show us shocking pictures but unless you experience these atrocities first hand every day, you'll just go back to living the life you did before, partly because our world is so far removed from these countries. (even though that still doesn't justify killing). (Mind you fantastic photographs by the photographers) : (
But can i ask, what are you doing/going to do about it?

I guess thier parents shouldn't have voted for a terrorist organization huh?
Funny how the parents are all safe and sound and the kids have been "killed". (in all likelyhood they just put some bandages and makeup on these kids and told them to lie there for propaganda pics. Never underestimate hezbollah's ability to lie and fool idiots like yourself...)
But in the unlikely event that they are real, at least now we don't have to worry about these kids growing up to strap bombs onto themselves huh? So this is a VERY good thing!

savo babe
no one can ever give an excuse for the killing of children
and as long as man is hating man there will always be such horror in the world
what i try to take from it is not reasons why .. but to know that out of such atrocities , compassion is born
for every killing , there are many eyes that see it , that know this is not what they want from life and from their fellow man
and it is sad but perhaps this is the only way that man can learn from his own mistakes , judgements and prejudices

The age old question, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" I don't know why, nobody really does. Some will say because God doesn't exist (which is a lie). Others say it's part of His sovereign plan (which brings little comfort to those hurting). Sadly, we will never really know why.

Those children's destinies are absolutely NOTHING to do with you, all you should be concerned about is your own problems - If you cant observe the world without getting upset then turn off the news and dont read the papers - Life is tough for EVERYONE - Deal with it!!!

doesn't anyone get tired of people asking why? Bad things happen.
Be glad that you are so lucky to be an American and have the luxury of sitting around all day to ask pointless questions.
My question is- what are you going to do about it?

Unfortunate victims of war!!!!!!!! unbelievable.
the nation of Israel was forced on the Arab world by the "benevolent" US and Europe. Now Israel is pushing for "lebensraum" - living space.
Unfortunately, since they are fully supported by the US, they have a much more advanced military than their neighbours and are able to do as they please.
