An "***" is a donkey. If the word is used properly it is not a cuss word.

A** is used in The Bible and The Bible only has great words not cuss words. Hell isn't a cuss word Only if you say what the beep?! You see it's how you use it.

I remember kind of dozing off a bit in church many years ago....when I got caught totally off guard by the priest "where the wild asses gather to drink"
Being that I was not paying attention and could not put this phrase in context I totally lost it and was giggling throughout the rest of the service.

Anything can be a cuss word... As for A_ss being used in the Bible... it's meaning in that context was "Donkey"... now... just how profane does THAT sound.

to me it is not really a cuss word....it means wild donkey. It is the manner in which the word is used, that makes it a "cuss word". the same can be said for "*****"-which really means female dog...

not any more, this word has become so diluted through time.
yes it was in the bible, but the cuss part is the context in which it is used.

An *** is another word for a mule or a donkey (can never remember which). It does not refer to a person's buttocks.

Depending on how the word is used.
However, it's not vulgarity, for sure. It's slang and worldly though.
A christian that always wants to please God as much as he can, uses language that would not be stumbling to others.
