I would like to get married in Petersburg, va, where a very, great, historical church is located that has 15 stained glass Tiffany windows built by Louis Comfort Tiffany after the Siege of Petersburg, 1864-65, and I would like to do the wedding personalized-style. But, the problem is, with my wife, I would like to dress her up, as the "Corpse Bride" from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Color up her whole body with light-blue spray paint, one arm and leg full-blue, other arm and leg, white, black marker for the bones to be drawn, blue roses and white lilies, blue high-heels, dye her hair blue, etc. I am a crazy guy, ain't I?

Hey, to each his own. I think you're kidding, but maybe not. If you think 1, 5, 10, 20+ years from now you'll still think that was a good choice, then go for it.
If you want to personalize, but not freak out everyone else involved, think about adding touches that bring your personalities and lives into it without so much body paint. There are plenty of non-traditional ideas that don't turn your fianceé into, well, a corpse.
For instance... you could have a fun video made to show right before the ceremony (check out http://www.bigmomentfilms.com). You could get a really interesting wedding photographer (http://www.joannabpinneo.com). You could do up some kind of weird/wacky/wild wedding favors, and package them in an interesting way (http://www.ebottle.com). There are many, many options long before you "kill" your partner with make-up!

First of all: make sure your bride knows about your plan because she might not like this. If she agrees GREAT! We personalized our wedding in a couple ways.
One: We did our own vows (along with the traditional)
Two: We did a litany of commitment which was printed in the program where we said our personalized vows and we had the congregation say something: Here is what it said.
Litany of Commitment
Pastor: Today, we see two people who are committed to loving each other. They have taken their vows, a vocalization of the dedication they have to one another.
Groom:This is my commitment to you.. From this day forward, I will love you with everything I am, and will cherish you as the completion of myself.
Bride:This is my commitment to you. We are no longer two individuals but are one, and I will always love you.
Pastor: A marriage is not just two people joining together, it is two families. Behind every couple are the people that teach and guide them through life. The people gathered here have helped bring these two together, and are dear to both.
Congregation: As your family, we commit to continue our support and guidance
That was our commitment.
Three: We did a grandparents table that had our grandparents and great-grandparents of the bride and groom who had passed away.
Four: My dad walked me down the asile and at the end I stopped and my mom got on my other arm so she would be up front as well as my dad.
I believe that might be all. There are lots of ways to personalize a wedding. Good luck and Congratulations

You say "I would like to dress her up, as the Corpse Bride.. I am a crazy guy, ain't I?"
The answer: NO - SHE is the one who is "crazy" -- to think that you love her. On this day -- one of the most important days of her life -- you want to perpetrate a "joke" that will humiliate her. What a wonderful, caring bridegroom you make!

You're not crazy as long as your future bride doesn't mind. It sounds like it would be fun. But you also have to remember that lots of women dream about their special day and being a corpse bride might not be what she imagined!!!

Oh,well everyone is entitled to his say..your wedding, your preferences--- be happy in your own skin and refrain pleasing everybody,it's a lost cause anyway.
In all those wishful thinkings and preparations, see that it will come true by making sure you & your bride are present on that day...that's what matters most since obviously non-show means no wedding.
Congrats and make it a memorable day worth remembering for the rest of your days together. :)

That's definately one of the most far out there wedding's I've ever heard of.
Although, I saw the wedding of a local artist. It was crossed between a native american wedding and a voodoo wedding. The bride wore purple and the b'maids wore blood red. It was crazy.

You can try for a victorian wedding instead or a gothic one, it will be more tasteful... I don;t think no bride would like a ragged dress and a blue leg on their wedding day.

If she wants to dress up like that well then do it. I think the bride should choose how she wants to dress. Your not crazy, a little strange perhaps.
