In my religion (Christianity) God gives us free will to choose anything and everything in our lives. We do, however, have consequences for our actions (just like we have consequences at work or at home for our actions).
At the basis of our beliefs is heaven and hell, and if you do not accept Jesus as your savior then you will ultimately end up in hell (once again this is strictly your choice).
So why do people think "I" am condemning them to hell when I make this statement, when according to my beliefs I am only pointing out that their own decision is what will take them there. It has nothing to do with me.
I think people assume that I think I, or Christians in general, think we are "better" than they are, when in actuallity I know that I am just as bad as everyone else, the only difference is that I have decided to acknowledge that I know Jesus came to die for my sins and everyone elses.
Just want you to know I am in no way saying this malisciously or hatefully, just stumped

sinning is not what takes you to hell, we are all sinners, christians and non-christians.... but Jesus cleanses us of our sins, that is the only thing that can save us from hell. we will never be able to save ourselves by being "good people", only Jesus can

There is a lot of confusion and misinformation and anger out there.
Think about this: when Jesus came, was He liked by all the people that met Him?
He came and gave them the Truth, but many, many people didn't want to hear it. Many times He had to run for His life because people had become so angry they were going to kill Him.
Take heart that as a member of the Body of Christ, you too will encounter the same things that Jesus did. People will get angry with you, hate you, just like they hated Jesus. If anything, take joy from this. You know you have the truth when people react this way. If it wasn't the truth, no one would care. See my point?
People have a general misunderstanding of judgement and condemnation. They think that if I say that premartial sex is wrong, or taking drugs or homosexuality is wrong, that I'm judging people. That is not correct.
I have the right to make a judgement about the right or wrong of something. A sin is a sin. However, I have no right to say how they will be judged by God. See the difference? I cannot condemn someone to Hell or anything, but I can call a wrong a wrong. Today, people don't even want that to be done. They want to do what they want to do and have nothing said about it.
Just remember you have the right to judge something as right or wrong, as God sees it; you just can't make a FINAL judgement, like where they will spend eternity.
God bless.

The reason is that no one asks you for your beliefs when they are doing something that goes against what you believe in. If i'm kissing some girl, i don't need someone coming up to me and saying, that's not what i believe and it's not what god wants. Well may not be but you have to mind your own business that's what the problem is. People get stopped and told you don't know the way all the time, did they wanna get stopped and told that, no. So that's what makes christians judgemental or condeming.

Problems with your argument:
You cannot prove what you are saying:
I can't believe I'm going to (or choose to go to) a place that only exists in myth. And that I'm going there for doing things that I see nothing wrong with--things that harm no one at all. Like thinking for myself.
Also, a choice made under coersion (believe in Jesus are go to hell for eternity) is not a free choice. That sort of choice is not even valid for a contract in US law. If one of the parties proves it was threatened with harm if they did not sign the contract, the contract can be voided, because it was not entered into with free agency. So your 'free will' argument is bunk.
The choice you say I have to make is to either forget what I know and believe in myths, or be tortured after I die. I don't mean to be offensive, but it sounds like the sort of 'free will' offered to suspects in the Inquisition.

I understand where you coming from and no matter how you mean things with the best intentions, everyone will make there own decisions, and they are entitled to it. The thing about Christianity like all other religions, its based on a belief, faith....none of it is facts. But that is irrelevant to those who belief in it, fact is not important.
But to others fact may be the foundation of all they belief in.
In all you do, and yes I think it is a good thing to share your beliefs, because it may help someone, know that everyone will make there own choices.

First Jesus didn't die for your sins and acceptance of him doesn't absolve you of RESPONSIBILITY for your actions good, bad, or indifferent. If he had in fact died for the sins of humanity than sin as we know it would have ceased to exist at the time of his demise on the Cross. So far as Heaven and Hell go...They are not some super natural places to go when you croak. They are in the PRESENT...Let me illustrate what I mean...You can make a Heavenly life for yourself by living with defference to others, having compassion/empathy, loving those closest to you, obeying the SECULAR laws, and respecting the environment. You can have Hell for a life by being a con, thief, dishonest, disrespectful, violent, and hateful. It's up to you what you want to make of your life in the PRESENT. Absolution is through your actions in the HERE AND NOW and doesn't happen when you croak. PEACE!

Many denominations of Christianity to not teach that you will go to Hell if you do not accept Jesus as your savior. If you do choose to believe that, then it has everything to do with you. You are not an innocent bystander in the realm of your own mind.

If they're hiding in the back of "righteousness" judging others in line with their strict ideals they could also be bordering at the matters that Christ condemned within the questions the Pharisees requested him searching for to justify themselves.I am afraid that's an handy entice to fall into unknowingly. They might appear to be looking to end up to God their possess goodness. Of path I observe many, many honestly train their ideals as an delivering to God. The factor is we're not anything via ourselves. The well that works via us I consider is God operating via us. It is on no account our possess doing.

The final judgement of a soul is just that, their final judgement. By sharing your opinon of a person's fate, you are presuming to know what is in the heart of G*d. THAT, my friend, is the height of hubris.
Reasonable people know that the afterlife does not include punishment for good people. Take your gloom and doom somewhere else, 'cause it's a real killjoy.

The point is that you are imposing your morality on other people.
And you have no right or authority to do that.
As a matter of fact, your religion says that to do so is a sin.
So apparently you're not a very good christian, given that you admit to judging others.

If you say that not accepting J will lead to hell, then you are judging and therefor you are judgemental. The reasl question is whether it is wrong in judging. I personally do not believe that it is wrong, in terms of your understanding of God and Christ, that is what will happen and that is why you say so.
