Training wheels

Though it sounds scary, the faster you go the better your balance becomes. Make sure you wear pads and a helmet, then if youre off training wheels already try to balance without pedaling.

Go next to a wall sit on the bike and then take your hand off the wall, balancing standing still is a great way to get the hang of how your muscles react when trying to balance.

Be careful and good luck.

start out with training wheels first. THese offer support while not always touching the ground. When you can ride take off the training wheels and ride. Sit up straight and move as the bike does. It's a bike so you almost have to fall over when you ride.

Good luck

Lower your seat so that you feet can touch the ground while seated. Then find yourself a flat/slightly downhill section of relatively soft ground (grass or dirt is softer than asphalt). Since your feet can touch the ground while seated, you can use your feet to push off to get the bike moving and if you start to lose your balance, put your feet back down.

Keep practicing until you can sit and balance on the moving bike. The faster your bike goes, the easier balancing will be, but of course, the scarier it will feel. But remember, you can alway put your feet back down to slow down or balance.

When you're comfortable with this, then find a slightly uphill section and practice pedaling.

Good luck!

1. On a short not so steep grass hill get on a 2 wheeled bike and lift your feet a few inches off the ground and coast down. Gravity should keep you centered.

2.Once you can do this, start out like you did in 1. but bring your feet up to the pedals once you get rolling.

3. Once comfortable pushing off and getting your feet on the pedals, start pedaling.

Good Luck!

Don't concentrate too hard, because it makes you tense up.

If you are tense it is not easy to balance.

Try to relax, and if possible learn with training wheels first.
