What Are the Signs and Symptoms?
A person with bipolar disorder will go through episodes of mania (highs) and at other times experience episodes of depression (lows). These aren't the normal periods of happiness and sadness that everyone experiences from time to time. Instead, the episodes are intense or severe mood swings, like a pendulum that keeps arcing higher and higher.
Symptoms of mania include:
racing speech and thoughts
increased energy
decreased need for sleep
elevated mood and exaggerated optimism
increased physical and mental activity
excessive irritability, aggressive behavior, and impatience
poor judgment
reckless behavior, like excessive spending, making rash decisions, and erratic driving
difficulty concentrating
inflated sense of self-importance
Symptoms of depression include:
loss of interest in usual activities
prolonged sad or irritable mood
loss of energy or fatigue
feelings of guilt or worthlessness
sleeping too much or inability to sleep
drop in grades and inability to concentrate
inability to experience pleasure
appetite loss or overeating
anger, worry, and anxiety
thoughts of death or suicide

Those feelings shouldn't be stopped,
they're a part of you, look at those feelings,
observe them. Where do they come from?
What is the cause? These feelings give
you a deeper insight into yourself, don't
push them away, it only makes them stronger,
acknowledge them, observe them.
The best advice I can give is try a form
of Meditation called Vipassana. If you
can go to local Zen center they can teach
you how to do it. If not, there is a book
I like called "Everyday Zen" by Charlotte Joko
Beck which has amazing insight and clarity.
And this is also a great site:
http://www.audiodharma.org/talks-all.html
that have audio instructions on mindfulness meditation.
Good luck

Anyone can get down, it doesn't necessarily mean you have some disorder... a break up, loss of a friend or family member... there are literally millions of things that will bring someone down. Try easing, or even diving, in to things that you enjoy doing. Like swimming? Go swimming. Like to rappell? Go rappelling... Maybe even try something you haven't done before. But whatever you do, do not numb yourself with something you drink, take, or smoke... and don't just jump right in to some other relationship.

Attend a church service. No really. I'm not a person that says that God is the answer to all their problems but if you think about it, church is a good place to go. It's a good way to meet a lot of friendly people and learn about why we are here and how to live a good life. Most of the people you'll find there are caring and are open to meet new people. Thus, church may be a good option, way better than online dating!

Hello!
I'll try to answer your question!
First of all don't think about it! Yes, I understand that it is very hard at this moment, but just try! Turn your mind on the other thing! For example, think about homeless people and how you can help them, give them sandwich or warm pullover.Believe me they are in a real trouble, and they try to survive on the streets.
Secondly, find more people to contact and make new friends!
Go to the dance class! Good music and pretty people are guarateed! Or go to the foreign language courses.(for example,I was always interesting in studying Italian language)and you? what language do you like?
Thirdly, try to remember what are the things and actions that you like to do and see! Do you like flowers? Go to the park and walk! Look around, flowers, birds, trees everything is fool of energy and life! It's so nice! just think about! Maybe you like football? Go to your local stadion and be fan of your team! Scream there and have fun! let your negative energy go out!
Fourthly, do you believe in God? Go to the church and pray there. It helps!
Fifthly, try to analyze the situation and understand, what are the reasons of your feelings of loneliness and desperation! write these reasons on the paper - and think about the solutions!
And finally, If all my advices didn't affect on you, write me! and we will find the solution together! )))

You seem to have an quite little shallowness and a great variety of insecurities. sometimes, as much because it feels like a cliché, love is composed of people who are not finding for it. See the way it is going with this boy, you purely stay as quickly as & what if a pair of months down the line you sense sorry approximately unlikely to fulfill him, there is not any longer something worse than sense sorry approximately! you are able to commence a great friendship which will become some thing extra, that way you are able to build your self assurance as you comprehend that he does desire to be on your organization & have an intimate relationship with you. additionally, what if he introduces you to extra of his acquaintances? That way you get to fulfill extra people too. it ought to look like the only way you will get numbers, yet there are hundreds of folk who try this too, it is not out of the conventional or desperate. people like people who're confident, in a non-smug way & you're extra in all risk to make acquaintances this variety, boys are attracted to females like this. exchange for existence!

I also feel this way a lot. It sounds like depression to me. There are a lot of new anti-depressants out there that really help. I got better when I went on them. Also, make sure you get up, get out and be active. Don't just lie around all day. All that does is make the symptoms worse.

Hi, I would start with talking with your doctor. You may need to be checked for depression. They can assist you in the care best suited for you. Maybe find people to talk with join a club. Even maybe a volunteer type job with hospital or something.
