Unions stink and drive up the cost of businesses. Also, they protect lazy workers and creat MEDIOCRITY. WHy bust you tail when everyone gets the same pre-negotiated raise.

UNIONS=MEDIOCRITY in the workforce!!!!!!

My grandfather, father, and brother are all Teamsters, and my father was a union official for 12 years. The benefits of organizing are that as a group, you have more power than as an individual. Your contracts and benefits are negotiated with your interests in mind, not settled on by management thinking only of the bottom line. If you have a grievance or an issue with management, there are laws to protect you, but instead of navigating the system all on your own, you have the union to back you up and help navigate it for you. When my Dad was the Secretary-Treasurer of his local, guys called our house every night with grievances, and Dad took it to management so these guys could just live their lives and not have to take time away from their families to negotiate red tape and beauracracy. Join the union and protect your rights as a worker.

the Teamsters are just another organization that tries to make money for its own management...

there are enough laws on the books to protect you in whatever job you have... unions have become to powerful in ways of protecting the workers who screw up...
