Are you a parent? It is a parents responsibility to raise their children and give them guidance in all aspects of life. If the parent has done the best they can then as an adult the child will make the right choices. I teach my children about the Bible and God and Jesus, yet I willnot push them to attend church with me. They go through phases where they attend and then do not attend. I always offer but do not push. I was confused about this 2 years ago and asked my minister what he thought I should do. He told me not to push but to offer and it has worked. I am also glad that my mother took me to church as a young girl it helped through some very tough times in life.

Every thought or belief in anything was learned or "programmed". Young, innocent minds that have learned kindness, decency, morals, right from wrong at a young age IS NOT A PROBLEM.

No, they aren't. Do you believe everything your parents told you? I know I don't. Your parents teach you what they believe, and because they believe it to be right and true, they want you to follow it. It is the same with anything else that they tell you.
It is your choice to believe what you're told or not. I don't believe in the same things my parents do. Our religious beliefs differer.. wether it's a matter of interpretation or not.
I was a child, I was taught and I believed what I was told. I am now an adult, capable of thought and I believe what I tell myself.

Am glad you said "when we were children" because you are an adult now and can make the same choices your parents made (that is if you are not a parent yet). Whatever your opinion is, you are as good or bad as your parents because you've become an adult.

Religious beliefs are heavily influenced by parents but your question seems to imply that it is the only factor.
Religious beliefs are changeable, which is evidenced that some Religions grow and some wither.

Not always....some children that were raised in a non-religious home grow up and look for a faith. It's not possible to put a group of people in a box and slap a label on it. We're too complicated.

So basically you're saying that religious beliefs are a social construct. And yes, to a certain degree I think you're right.
But as you grow older and exposed to so much more, we gradually begin to form our own convictions.

It can help influence, but still it comes down to what you believe. It is a personal decision as to what you believe and why.
