I have Malibu with sugar free lemonade (I suppose theres no difference in cola though) and so does my mum. were both fairly active, not gymming it or anything but y'know, out walking a lot or on the go with my 3 daughters all the time and this drink helps us chill. Over the last 6 months my mum hasn't changed diet or anything but since drinking this has lost over a stone. We used to have cider instead which is a DEFINITE NO NO. (I piled heaploads on drinking this) So my personal opinion on Malibu with diet coke/lemmo shouldn't affect you providing your reasonably active and don't drink excessively including not binging too much on junk food. Good luck. Let me know how it goes.

Well to be honest your best bet is to drink water when u are trying to lose weight. But this depends on how vigorous your workout schedule is. Not matter what you eat or drink hard to lose weight or maintain the weight you lose if u you have a pretty steady workout schedule. If you have a very good workout schedule and you stay active then you can drink pretty much whatever you want like ur diet coke and Malibu since you are burning off plenty of calories in your workout.

Alcohol and diet doesn't really mix but then it all depends on how often you drink!!
If you are going to be good all week and then have 1( 2 the very most)malibu& diet coke once a week then I don't think it will ruin your diet.
Losing weight is about eating and drinking in moderation- that is the key.
Good luck with the diet I hope you achieve your goal!

I saw one person who answered, actually make sense.

The answer is NO, it is not okay to drink when you are trying to lose weight. Malibu is a rum. All rums are made directly from sugar cane. It is pure sugar, so you don't want to drink that. Beer is also not good for you when you are trying to lose weight.

Try not to drink diet coke when you are going through the process of trying to lose weight. Avoid any caffeine for at least the first two weeks and don't drink or eat any fruit for the first two weeks.

some doctors/researchers are starting to think that the artificial sweeteners (like in Diet Coke) make you feel hungrier.

so it might be easier to lose weight with something like water or club soda instead of the Diet Coke.

Diet Coke only has about 1 calorie a serving. the alcohol, however...

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. The Paleo Diet can be very widely varied and omnivorous for the most part, but the most important thing is that it’s unprocessed, and avoids the worst foods that agriculture brought mankind… refined inflammatory vegetable oils, refined grains (some are worse than others), and sugar! As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://tinyurl.im/aHLsv

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Caffeine can actually help the process getting started. If you drink a cup of black coffee in the morning and then take a 1/2 hour walk or run the caffeine speeds up your metabolism. Nothing else should be taken though.. and no additives in the coffee, ie sugar or milk. breakfast can be taken after the exercise. Avoid sugar and fat.
