they want to meet him today, and i'm a little scared. one of my ex boyfriends actually got in a fist fight with my dad, and i dont want to mess things up with him before he leaves to go back home. PLEASE HELP ME!

I really love this guy and it would hurt so much if my parents didn't. I don't see a reason why they shouldn't, but knowing my parents, this is going to be hell.

tell your parents to cool it on him, to give him a chance. tell your b/f to play it cool, and dont let anything that your dad do or say get him mad.

Take him to meet them, and don't worry about what happened in the past this is a new guy, who you seem to admire (in your parent's aspect) so if he is good then you have nothing to worry about, if he respects your parents then he probably respects his parents and he'll most likely respect you. Can you say that much for your ex, he got into a fist fight with your father!!!!

Have some faith. Just because they didn't like your previous boyfriend doesn't mean they wont like this one. I'm sure if they see how much you like him they will try to get along with him, and if not and you are old enough to make up your own mind well then its completely up to you and they will just have to be happy for you. All they are doing is looking out for your welfare, they love you and want to make sure you are making the right choice. They must have been right about your ex as you are no longer with him so give them some credit and good luck to you today.

What did your Ex-Boyfriend do wrong? Dads believe that no one is ever good enough for their daughters and they only want the best when they seldom really know what is the best for us.
Try to explain to your dad how much this guy mean to you and how much you really want them to get along

How does he feel? Is he ready to meet them? They are your parents but understand they aren't the only ones in the equation. Talk to him and ask him if he feels ready to meet them. If not, let them know the timing isn't quite right yet but he feels very honored that they want to meet them and will definitely make them top priority next time he's in town.
If he wants to meet them, be confident. And be proud of him. He's good enough for you to date. So he should be good enough to meet them.

tell ur guy to be good and explain how the guy is to ur parents. but don't panic cos ur parents care about u and they want the guy to know that. by this the guy will not misbehave towards you cos when thinks of that the first thing that will get to his mind will be ur parent. so let him meet ur parents. its cool
