luzzii,
I saw your previous post on the same question.
If your hair is a dark brown now and you wish to go red, which is considered 'lighter' then there HAS to be some amount of bleach or component that will 'bring your hair up' to the red color that you desire. Many do this at home, but many 'first timers' do it at home and end up at the Salon for expensive corrections and the 'embarrassment time' in between. Leave this one to the pro's. They can also suggest which hair products (shampoo's, conditioners, treatments) will be the best for keeping your new color and respecting the integrity of your hair.
As an example "I want red to last". Red is the hardest hair color (when not natural) to maintain. The color/pigments fade quickly. Please don't let your desire for red hair over ride your common sense. Is it better to have the same hair length that you have now, only a beautiful fiery red, or would you rather try it yourself and be left wish once inch stubs that are red, but the rest of your hair broke off ?
Please leave the first time to the professionals and use the new products on your 'newly red hair' to keep it looking it's best.
Good luck with what ever decision you make, luzzii

100 % color. I have red hair that was origonally dark brown and it worked really well. I also tried the herbal escence kind and it really sucked. It didn't really change my color at all. Go with 100% color. Good luck!!

dont get any dies from a department store. go to a salon, or get a hairstylist that you know to get it for you from a beauty supply store, and do it for you. get the right color care shampoo also so that it lasts for a while instead of fading

try a solon first have them restore your natural color. i use natural match by loreal on mine. this is a great solution to my hair and i have drk brown with red highlights. keeps my color while still adding my highlights, and no damage to my hair. still, try the solon first though
