In Western Astrology the sun is in the sign of Taurus from April 20 to May 20 in the tropical zodiac and May 14 to June 19 in the sidereal zodiac.
Gemini: The Western astrological sign of Gemini forms part of the tropical zodiac (May 21 - June 20) and of the sidereal zodiac (June 15 - July 16). Note that according to the IAU, the sun enters the constellation at June 21 and leaves it at July 21, however, these dates are based on the currently defined borders of Gemini which were purely drawn for navigational purposes without consideration for use by astrology.

It depends on the date.
Taurus – this is the sign of the Bull for those whose birthday falls between April 20 and May 20.
Gemini – May 21 to June 21 and takes the sign of the twins.

Depends. The signs start partially into each month. There is
also an old and new astrology. The new says the Earth has moved in relation to the stars over time. So the first week of
each sign, really belongs to the sign before it.
As far as I can figure. When our bodies leave the protection of
our mothers body/spirit. Our spirit absorbs certain energies at
work at that time, which become part of our being. We are all
very complicated creatures. Having aspects from many signs
in our personal make-up. Don't try to figure people from thier
sun sign alone.
When people ask me, "Do you believe in astrology?" I say, "Do I believe that there are spiritual forces at work, that are
predictable?" "Yes, I believe that." "But do I put my faith in it?"

Up until May 22 (I think) he's a Taurus. After that, he's a Gemini.
