i did something to my hair once that was so embarraisng i wanted to crawl into a hold....i tried to sun streak my drk brown hair.....eeeek, it truned strawberry blond and that was definately not my color. i called our beauty school and told them what happened. they had to strip all of the color out of my hair and start over. adding what my natural colors are. now, when i color, i just stick to my natural tones, and i use only herbal coloring....no damage there. ask you beautician if the stripping out all of what you have now is a good idea for you and starting over. hope this helps.

For the moment you just have to wait for it to grow a little. that is if you don't want to bleach it (because bleaching will damage your hair more than it probably already is harmed by constant dying). If your hair is still healthy, then you can try to bleach it and then dye it a colour close to your natural one so it doesn't look so nasty at the roots after it grows.
Or you could shave your head, but that' out of the question, isn't it?

see if you can go to a salon and tell them you want it back. either they can re-dye it one last time to the original color or it'll just take time...red stains....i know as i dyed my hair red too. and it eventually will get close to your color, but won't fade permanently for a long, long time.

otherwise dye it a nice color and eventually it'll go back, looking cute in the process. :)

have a hair stylist dye it back to the closest color to your natural and just let it grow out from there. you have to let the dye grow out there is no way to remove the dye you have to wait it out.

dye it back to the original color (as close as possible) and let it grow out.
