good point this why the protestants split from the catholic church. Your argument is probably useful against catholics especially the vatican who currently has more power than any world leader.

Nice troll. :)
Well, the basic gist is this: No one knows everything (and some know less than others), so the perspective of *any person* always holds some degree of subjectivity.
In other words, there is "information," and there is an individual's interpretation of the information.
Your own opinion expressed here is simply a subjective interpretation of life experience and head knowledge.
Personally, I don't think assuming that everyone who believes in a religious belief was brainwashed into it is a great interpretation of the data.
In fact, most might consider it a little foolish -- considering how apparent it is just by reading these forums that there are many who have searched for their "faith" (no matter what it happens to be placed in) and were not simply brainwashed.

Everyone on this planet thinks they are important and have some insight to the truth, even me, but to try and decipher what was going on in the heads of the entirety of authors of the koran or bible is foolish. Take religion what it is for, a halfway decent story, but nothing more than a tool for powerful people to keep the masses in line. This has been going on for centuries. Have faith in yourselves for a change rather than a god who has not done anything for us other than be at the cause of most of the wars in history. For 19.95 i can sell you my truth, are you buying? Religion is a money making and a tool to keep the weak in their place.

Don't you mean the word of Man? The one that was written by men, interpreted by men, changed to suite the needs and power of men? Word of God? I don't think so. If God has a word, let it come from his mouth. I am ready but he never speaks and he never will because he does not exist.

Wow---you know me so well! I feel so much more enlightened for having read your question...wait...what precisely was your question? Oh yes, who am I. You seem to have already decided; in any case, don't ask a question about me and then proceed to tell me your answer. You get to ask OR pretend to be an expert--not both.

I interpret the word of God for myself. It's not my place to do so for others.
And don't call me a fool. You don't even know me. Kinda rude.

What evidence do we have that this is the word of God and not some one else's interpretation of it.
Then you have an interpretation of an interpretation.
