To everyone thats pro- or anti- illegal immigration:

I know immigration is a big issue, but shouldnt we be focusing more on an unjust war thats costing us billions(more than this issue is costing us) and a president who has no problem making and failing his own laws(which compared to the illegals is a bigger problem). Shouldnt we use our time complaing about a C average president???

Remember no good president, no good clear solution to our domestic problems like illegal immigration or anything else for that matter. Think about that. Tell me what you think.

DYBOY34 PULL YOUR HEAD OUT!
Some of us can actually do more than breathe and waste space.

This situation with ILLEGALS is costing us far more than this war is.WE didn't volunteer our country up to these ba****ds.
We are here so why shouldn't we fight to protect OUR country from being invaded because that is what it amounts to and we are paying ALL the expenses while they are here!
Bush has been NO worse than any other president and I feel he has had a LOT more to deal with during his presidency than just about any other president ever.
He hasn't only had to deal with 9/11 almost as soon as he takes office.I have no idea why he felt we needed to hit Iraq other than since we were there we might as well help out.
N.Korea we should just nuke em and be done with it-but I said that about Afghanistan too.
Lebanon/Isreal has nothing to do with us at the moment so let them kill eachother.Who cares?
He isn't a dictator! He doesn't get to make all the decisions about what our country does or what we get involved in.
It sounds good in theory but ya'll should know that by now.
He is a figurehead and he gets all the blame but he isn't the one calling all the shots. The sooner people accept that fact and understand that the rest of our government also has a say in the running of OUR country the better.
This is hardly new and it is NOT a Democrat/Republican issue.Quite frankly if you can not look at this as an AMERICAN and nothing else then you are doing our country no good.
If you have EVER talked to anyone who has been in this war you would know they support it 100% and then some.I have, and have yet to hear anyone say we shouldn't be there.
They talk about the good they have done and want to go back and help some more.
NO ONE wants to die and I don't want any of them to either, but THEY feel they are doing the right thing and that is what I listen to not the bleeding hearts who spout crap but haven't actually talked to the source directly!

If corporations want illegals working for them then immigration laws need to be more flexible to allow immigrant to come in for work but this will encourage more illegal immigration unless you put tougher punishments on employers for hiring illegals, which by the way is a CRIME TOO. Also people who have been here for quite some time and have no criminal record should get an amnesty but they most pay fines...

There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant. Immigration is a legal process. If the person is here illegally, he/she is a criminal and needs to be dealt with accordingly. We are a nation of laws and dis-respect for one law fosters dis-respect for all laws. We are a sovereign nation with borders that should be respected and guarded.
The cost to do nothing about this issue makes the war in Iraq look like a child's allowance.

I think you are selling the cost of illegal immigration a bit short. I bet if a person was to do a complete study on it, it would be discovered that it has cost the U.S. much more than the so called "UNJUST WAR". Medical coverage, food stamps, welfare of all kinds, unpaid bills, unrecovered taxes, (working for cash) etc... It is a big problem, as is the war. God Bless Our Troops

I agree.Bush sucks. In a huge way.Yes,we are fighting a useless and costly war to save his face.At the cost of thousands of american soldiers' lives. We are so concerned here about illegal mexican immigration,we fail sometimes to think about all the other legal immigrants who terrorized our country. It appears Bush has put that on the back burner while he creates new nations overseas.Well,I agree with you.

My names Mely(at home )I almost used that on here until I saw yours.Cool name :-).

I am not for war at all-but not one soldier who I talk too (and I have talk to many) -has told me they were not needed there. Many here-but not one solider. They seem to think once they were there-that they were needed very much there and they knew why too.

Second part of your question-it is costing us billions on Illegals-the facts are on the web-billions. That can't go on. It is every bit as big as the war.

a true letter from a soldier
One of my sons serves in the military. He is stationed stateside, here
in California. He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and
welcoming people were to him and his troops everywhere they go.
Telling me how people shake their hands and thank them for being
willing to serve and fight, not only our own freedoms but so that
others may have them too.

Then he told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at
yesterday, on his way home from the base. He said that several people
were in the line ahead of him, including a woman dressed in a burkha.

He said when she got to the cashier r, she made a loud remark about the
U.S. Flag, lapel pin, the cashier wore on her smock. The cashier reached
up and touched the pin and said, "Yes, I always wear it proudly, because
I'm an American."

The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going to
stop bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi.

Then, a Gentleman standing behind my son stepped forward, putting his
arm around my son's shoulders and nodding towards my son, said in a
calm and gentle voice to the Iraqi woman: Lady, hundreds of thousands of
men and women like this young man have fought and died so that YOU could
stand here, in MY country and accuse a check-out cashier of bombing YOUR
countrymen. It is my belief that had you been this outspoken in YOUR own
country , we wouldn't need to be there today. But, hey, if you have now
learned how to speak out so loudly and clearly, I'll gladly buy you a ticket
and pay your way back to Iraq, so you can straighten out the Mess
in YOUR country, that you are obviously here in MY country to avoid."

See how he was welcome-he knows why he is there. I don't like the war-but from every soldier I hear this.

The U.S. troops found mass graves of people that Saddam had murdered...so no its not unjust...Democracy in the middle east would be a great thing...Innocent women and children being killed by a dictator is horrible...but i guess its more horrible that it costs you money...

So you are a Bush hater. Stand in line. In fact, go to the end of the line with the other dummies who can't put together a complete sentence.
