I am sorry to tell you this but what the he.ll were you thinking. Cant you see that those people are trying to change there lifestyle and your making them go back to there old habits. What in the world were you thinking? What you should is go to the AA center where they had the meeting there and tell them what you did. OR you can forget what you did and not suffer the consequence of your actions.

I'd drink a lot of beer. Always makes me feel better. Wash down some more rum cake with it.

I wouldn't worry. Most places that make rum cakes don't use real rum anyways. They sell rum flavour extract at a lot of baking and grocery stores, and most people use that to bake with instead.

well it was a food item, it wasn't like you actually brought a bottle of booze

if anyone got terribly offended perhaps they need to lighten up -- even people who have given up drinking may at some point find themselves in a social situation where others will be imbibing, so they need to be able to cope with it if they're truly going to be successful in managing their addiction

i wouldn't worry too much; if anyone complains to you you could just say you're sorry but i wouldn't go on and on about or fall prostrate on the floor begging forgiveness

This falls into the "no harm-no foul" catagory. By the time a rum cake is baked it loses all of its alcohol content, only the flavor of the liquor remains.

oops ... AA folks need to chill on that type of stuff...i brought a rootbeer in a bottle that looked like a beer bottle to a meeting once, i had like 4 months, and everyone freaked out, and basically treated me as if i had gone out. so i showed them and im still drunk and high right now !!!

Make up for it at the next meeting by bringing brownies with "special stuff" added to them, you know, the stuff that caues munchies.
